I'm having some very serious problems here. Iv Formatted the main C drive about 9 times in 2 weeks! Considered that the problem may lye with my secondary HDD which is my primary backup drive (E), but i don't think its that.

Iv used AVG, Mcafee, Kapusky (Spelt wrong i know lol), I have tried, Sygate Personal Firewall, Windows Firewall and AVG Firewall. Also tried, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Spybot SnD. After all of those, nothing seems to fix it!

I tried to follow another forums help, however after the 1st reboot i couldnt get back into windows! It just kept on restarting!!! So i did yet another format!!

In the usual order or what happens,

    - 3 Porn icons appear on desktop (Even right after a format) - Usually when i connect to the net, Via a wireless connection or a mobile dongle.
    - Error's Appearing, (Explorer Crash's, SVCHost Error's etc)
    - Task Manager shows endless amounts of (*.tmp) files running (Which i kill).
    - If i restart PC i "sometimes" (Random most of the time) get a popup window when i boot back in. 2 Options (Close) (Cancel) Either of them restarts the PC, and it repeats.
    - When restarting it boot's into windows and just as explorer appear's it restart's again! Causeing a loop process!

I did see a soloution on a website > ( http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/red-c...ay-t19922.html ) < That seem'd to be the problem. But im not too good with this kind of problem!

So, ANY Help would really make me a happy bunny. Iv tried to fill in as much info as poss about my PC Spec etc on the Profile page. And would LOVE not to have to sign up to another forum!!

    -------------

Ok, so i switched my PC off last night. And it wouldnt power up! So i made a very difficult choice and formatted again (10th time) And this time i formatted my backup drive! (100gig of work n files gone!!) (Well windows is in the process of formatting it now)

Iv just connected to the net 5mins ago, after installing all my drivers n that. And it started again...

    - Explorer Crashed
    - 3 Porn Icons appeard on desktop
    - IE Crashed

That happend as soon as i connected. Can someone please help, this is driving me nuts!

(I just pasted this from another forum, which still hasnt replied! But still, i just would like to find a site, or someone that will help)

And its now 10 formats, and iv lost all my design work!! :/

    Thanks,

    Dragon.

Im really sorry, this and the other reply is NOT a bump!

Just so who ever read's this knows.

I dont want to run any program's as i did this the other day and my PC would not start back up! So i had to format it again.

I have looked through your "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide", However, as i stated above, i can not do this.

To be honest, if i even restart the chances are il have to format again. So the PC has been ON since i formatted it today.

Hope someone help's, i have been patient, not much with this forum as i just register, but i 1st posted this problem over 1 week ago on another forum, and still no response :(

    Update.

Just submitted an email to Compaq to try and see if they can send me or point me in the right direction of the PC recovery CD's.

I do use a custom OS, But i do have a genuine version of windows. I just dont like it, and have relied on "other" OS's for over 2 years now. Which have worked fine till now!

    :)

Ok, So i know you guys are busy, and i know it says 1) Dont bump and 2) Be patient, but i just found my post on Page 6 of your forum, Still with no reply!

If i have missed something, or not done something right, please just tell me.

And as for the problem with the pc goes. The PC has not been switched off since i last formatted (4+ Days ago) And...

I have another question, I have downloaded a version of XP Home (SP3). If i install that, can i put my OEM code into it? And it will work?

The code i have is for XP Home, but it was for the partition backup of the OS that came with the PC!

    Thanks guys,

    Dragon

Yes you did not follow instructions about bumping: Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!! Everytime you add another message, you bumped yourself to the end of the work queue not the top. You want your post to be further down into the pages of the forum. That means you will be getting an answer soon since we are working on pages with higher numbers not lower numbers.

If you have properly deleted partitions, repartitioned, formatted and reinstalled, then your problem is not malware. That is unless you are reinstalling from infected backups or a non-original copy of Windows. You should try a clean reinstall again and this time ONLY INSTALL Windows (from an original CD) and do not install anything else other the an antivirus and firewall (from clean new downloads). And see how things work before you do anything else.

Either way your should have run the cleaning procedure given in the sticky threads before you even posted for help. See: READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

I don't see any statement of why you cannot do this.

Try and see it from my point of view please. Its now 12 formats, iv lost over 100 gig of design work, family photo's, music etc! I understand you guys are busy, i understand you have rules, i just want some help.

I have 2 idea's! 1) Its a Hardware problem, however, the porn icons that keep appearing on the desktop. The *.tmp files that keep running. Keep me thinking it has to be a software problem. 2) Its something to do with the "installing alternitave languages" via windows. (Sounds hard to belive, but iv noticed that the *.tmp files are being blocked when i dissable those option from within windows)

Im not doing a system restore, its a complete format every time. (Full Format and Quick Format). Both have the same results.

Currently i have Window's Dark Edition Running. I understand you have rules against where i aquire these OS's from, and i am probably shooting myself in the foot lol! But still, iv used this OS for over 1 year, and there hasnt been any problems to date.

I have contacted the Manufacture about this, they have given me some steps to follow, however this requires a charge of £33 GPB, which i do not have.

I have also tried installing Windows XP Home SP3 (From TPB) Clean version apperntly, but... it didnt accept my OEM code (Which is mine and paid for).

So im back to Dark Edition. And so far, the *.tmp files are being blocked by Malwarebytes. The Sysgate firewall and windows filewall seem to be doing there job. But i dare not to restart the pc just yet lol!

And as for following the guide's you have. They start the same as other one's i have follow. The last one said Run "Hijackthis" and let it reboot! I did this, to find my PC Wouldnt reboot! And kept on restarting once loging onto the Windows Explorer.

I am very greatful for your help. I understand if you cant help me because i use a custom' OS. But i do have an XP Home Real OEM code. So its more personal choice that the "p2p" option.

Thanks once again, any suggestions would be appreciated.

We understand this. And that is why the Do Not Bump sticky is there..... for your own benefit. As stated, it only hurts you by delaying being answered.

You need to delete partitions and repartion before formatting or you could be wasting your time. Also as I stated before, it is possible that you are just reinstalling the infection, or that you are connecting your PC to the internet without having proper protection in place first. You must have an antivirus, antispyware blocker, and a real firewall (Windows firewall is not adequate) installed before connecting.

Also you should not be installing any other software until you verify that all is good with the initial install of Windows and protection software first.

You are correct. We will not help you resolve problems you are having if you are using an illegal copy of Windows. As far as we are concerned, it is possibly the source of your problems.

If you have your own valid copy of Windows, that is what you should be using.

Our guide is not the same as every other guide and does not finish the same either. We do not request a HijackThis log either. We cannot help you anyway if you refuse to run our procedures.
