ok this is the problem i have my desktop and its pretty new mayb a year and a half old running vista. so i was away for bout a week at my cousins house and my sister has been on my computer. and no it has this thing called security tools on it its a virus. another thing i saw on it waz wininferno i got rid of that but i dont know if it has anything to do with the current problem. oh yea so anyways everything ive trid to run to clean it up it tells me that its infected with some worm that's tryna steal my credit card info task manager dont work either. and all my icons on my desktop dont work either so can anyone help me?

Follow the steps it says, and post in the Malware thread. They will get you up and running We have the best here

 

Seems that wininferno is a Key Generator.Sometimes used for making illegal copies of CDs or DVDs.

o and just in case you think of this one i dont havee a disk this one is a emachine so i tried to use the one for the dell my dad has n it told me it couldnt create the folder to install or some crap like that :banghead

 

If you can't run anything then there isn't much we can do as we need the logs from the READ ME.

Try creating and running a Rescue CD to see if you can get some Windows functions back.

Then work through the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide and attach the logs in a new topic in the Malware Removal forum.

ok ive alread done the stuff on that run and read thing and it wont even let me run any of those programs so where do i go from there? i tried to use this disk and it wont even let me do that

If you can't do anything with physical access to the computer then we surely can't do anything.

Try a Rescue CD. I posted 2 links above.

im n the pocess of it right now

 

still having problems i ran the disk for avira and i did the scan to delete the files that were infected and when i was done i rebooted and when windows opened up and everything i still had the exact same problems but now it wont let me do anything with avira on the actual like it did when i made the disk i still cant run anything because it tells me its some kind of worm that is trying to get my crditcard info which i know is a bunch of bs!!! HELP ME!!!!!!:cry

 

ok i would b happy with jus wiping the whole comp and starting over so please help me ive tried running the reinstallation disk and it wouldnt work so please help me just get to like it was on xp wherre i could just do the destructive system restore
