    Hello,

I was trying to download softwares from the internet and sunddenly chorme and firefox don't run. IE still running so I connected to the internet and searched for this and posts recommended to download SUPERAntispyware. I did download SUPERantispyware and run it.
It detects a lot of things.. then I proceed to deleted the detected warm, trojan etc..

I restarted the computer, now chrome and firefox and IE all could be opened
BUT I LOST INTERNET CONNECTION. The wireless of my laptop is detecting the connection but the small icon has a red x on it.

If I try to connect to the wireless connection, I get connection unsuccessful.

    I'm using windows vista.

The log file generated by SUPERantispyware is attached to this post.

    PLEASE HELP.

    Thank you.

    Try this:

Click Start > Run and type in cmd
    • Click OK.
    • This will open a command prompt.
    • Type or copy and paste the following line in the command window:
      ipconfig /flushdns
    • Hit Enter
    • Exit the command window

Note: There is a space between ipconfig and /.

I tried this but internet is not working for me again!
when displaying avaiable wireless connection, I can see the mine. But If I try to connect to it ..I get connect unsuccessful.

From the SuperAntispyware log file (attached to my 1st post), I can see the following lines:

are the problem is coming from here? Should I restore those from SUPERAntispyware ?

I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and run it (without doing update) as there is no connection on my laptop. It runs and give me no problem.
I download a database update for Malwarebytes and installed manually on the laptop .. I get it freezing after making some scans. I'm restarting now the laptop to retry.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Kindly find attached the log scans for malwarebyte, combofix and SuperAntispyware (attached to my 1st post) as SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log - 08-25-2011 - 22-02-55.log:

As for RootRepeal when I double click it from the desktop, I get window showing "Initializing ..." I wait for 20 minutes but this window lasts ...

Notice That I have AVG free edition 2011 installed and I disable it for 15 minutes (this is the only way to do!) when running combofix and the others..

Hope receiving your response and fix if possible..

PS: I had problem with malwarbyte, sometimes it freezes. I had to restart my computer, reinstall it, update using the offline database updater and try again... finally I get it finishing the scan and generated the log file attached to this email.

Thank you veru much for your help.

Please follow the instructions given in Fixing Google Redirection/hijacking and other redirection problems

    No.
RootRepeal quite frequently fails to complete its run.
Please refer to the instructions in the READ and RUN ME First - you are advised to only have one anti-virus program installed; you have both Norton 360 and AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2011.

*We may not yet be finished using ComboFix, so uninstall AVG permanently.

Please atttach these logs to your next reply:
    • Goored.txt log
    • MBRCheck.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip

I have already uninstalled Norton and I have only AVG free edition 2011.
I can only disable it for 15 minutes. And when googled did not find a solution to disable it permanently. If I remove AVG I will end with no antivirus!

If your internet is not working on this machine, how are you posting? If you are using another pc, you can download and transfer the tools & logs back and forth via CD/DVD/SD Card. (Yes, you can use thumbdrives but they are writable and can become infected.) Again - AVG will interfer with using ComboFix.

    Hello, chakik

No further malware was founded on your pc. You should post for help in our Networking forum.

There are some things that I did find:

You need to review this warning about using Keygens and cracks: Warning about Porn, Keygens, Cracks, and other Illegal Software
*Other than the tools our guide instructed you to save there, I strongly recommend that you clean up this account's Desktop immediately leaving only shortcut links. [ C:\Users\Fadi\desktop ] Do not store downloads, exe files, iso files....etc on your Desktop. First it is not a safe place to keep them (i.e., you may loose them due to malware, and a cluttered Desktop is an easy hiding place for malware), and last but not least - it can have an effect on your PCs performance.

    # Less than 10% free space remains on your harddrive
Please look in Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features if using Vista or Windows 7) for the following and uninstall if found. If you get any errors just make a note and continue on.
Now install the latest Sun Java Runtime Environment

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work through the below link:
