I have the latest version of flash but when I viewe sites that require flash I get the " you need to install the latest version to viewe blah blah blah" this is now becoming that "bloody annoying" I am contemplating the assassination of my OS and going for a clean install as no matter what I do does not fix the issue!!!!,I have had to resort back to my ol' Dell Inspiron 1300 :cry, so if anyone can help me fix this irritant I would be very gratefull. please help!!!! as i don't really want to flatten my HDD!!!!

    Cheers Iain.

Glad you got things sorted, iain, but all I did was point you in the right direction...falconattack and mjnc did all of the grunt work - you might throw a kudos their way.
