So getting this redirect when trying to do searches in chrome. I am on windows 7 and have ran a scan With The windows tool, and also with malware bytes. After allowing those to clean the issue persists.

I have flushed DNS and deleted temp files from browsers.

I am also attaching log files from both Rogue Killer and MBRCheck.

Any help getting this crap removed is appreciated.

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

Hello, I have followed all steps and am attaching the logs as well. During the scans I also received an error message and it can be viewed here http://imgur.com/amrG4

Please also note that during the scan with the hitman tool it automatically qurantened two items. The MGTools, and Also a spotify script I have in XBMC. The issue I am experiencing started well before XBMC was installed on my system. You can view the issue I am having here http://imgur.com/CXYv3

I will mention the only time it does this is when clicking on a search result from google.com

Thanks for all the help in advance.

    You're welcome.
You are not supposed to be fixing anything per our instructions on how to run it. Redownload MGtools.exe and run it. We need the C:\MGlogs.zip file to continue.

Not sure what you want me to look at here.

First off let me say I greatly appreciate the help. But as I originally said, I didnt fix anything. It qurantiened the items without me telling it to.

Sorry, I forgot to attach the zip file.

On the image linked if you click on it it will blow up and show you the address in the address bar thats redirecting. Really just trying to give you as much information as possible.

Please find attached the zip file requested.

Does the problem you are having only occur if you use Chrome? Shut Chrome down and try Internet Explorer. The shut down IE and try Firefox.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT will reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

It does appear to only be in Chrome. I dont have FF installed as I dont use it. Went into IE and did about 10 searches and clicked on about 10 links and the garbage never loaded.

    Requested log file attached.

Typical common issue with Chrome and Firefox.

Uninstall Chrome now and then reboot.

After reboot, delete the below folder.

    C:\Users\Traye\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome

Now use IE to download Chrome here > Google Chrome 22.0.1229.94 Stable

Reinstall and see how it is working now.

The only item of question was the below from the RogueKiller log
    Code:
    [TASK][SUSP PATH] IHUninstallTrackingTASK : CMD /C DEL C:\Users\Traye\AppData\Local\Temp\IHU3A33.tmp.exe -> FOUND
But when I checked other logs, this temp file did not exist so it was probably just a temporary file that some installer uses.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
