Call from Visa my credit card was making charges all over the world. I use it online with encrypted sites and at stores. Do you think I got hacked because my pc was compromised and I can't trust it now and should wipe it out and totally rebuild it?

    Thanks Zoom

I had 3 incidents that looked like malware - 2 posted here about

    - ds30.bat is trying to modify a protected file or directory ds30.bat could not be recognized and it is about to modify the contents of c:\windows\temp\ds2f.tmp.
    - cnet downloaded aro2012 by accident getting avg free
    - some registry cleaner icon kept popping up on the desktop someone else posted about it here.

When you click on updates, it should give you a list of all available updates.

I ran the scans and included the logs. Hitmanpro did not find any problems.

    Do you need anything else?

Your MGLogs did not populate. Please run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    Attach the new C:\MGLogs.zip.

I was wondering I put my pc in standby and have bibernate set to take over after x minutes. I see it shut off and then later I see it start itself back up again. Is this malware or norton antivirus I think 2013? How can I find out what is restarting it?

    Thanks Mike

And to add to that last note I had it in standby hibernate for a hour or so and went to use it and it was on that start screen with the icon in the middle so I went to shut it off and a popup said are you sure you want to shutdown other people are logged into the computer. Is this and the last note malware?

    Not neccessarily.

    Download OTL to your desktop.
    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • Vista and Windows 7 users Right-click OTL and choose Run as Administrator)
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
    • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Attach both of these logs into your next reply.

Got on the computer and saw this popup - had it before when i got it on cnet trying to download avg. Thought I uninstalled it? Don't know if wife left computer on but she dosen't remember it and don't know if it started and popped up on it's on or maybe that otl run caused a delayed trigger of it? Clicked close and got a popup come on to upgrade from trial. How should I get rid of it

You can try using Revo Uninstaller to remove that program.

Well, we are not finding any malware in your logs. What issues are you still having, if any?

    You are most welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
