Windows Updates Freeze

    Every time MS tries to update, it freezes at a small percentage..13% today...hours pass and I resort to shutting down,,and on restart...it spends an hour or so undoing the changes...my only thought it to keep setting the updates to no try for 5 days ( that's the max time)...any help??Please?

    An update...the next day(today), download history shows all downloads have been successful....right click start//shut down and there is no option to shut down and update. Makes me wonder if I'm in some strange reality...):

    That's computers for you! They do their own thing and you have to accept it.
    I've been using them since the 1970's and I still don't understand them.
