I suspect you have a failing hard drive.

Please do these things. You can download the programs onto a USB and transfer them to the computer desktop.

Running Chkdsk /R

• Click Start, type cmd, then select Run as administrator
• Type chkdsk C: /r and press Enter
• When asked to schedule the disk check for next reboot, press Y then hit Enter
• Restart your computer and allow the process to run unhindered

• Download ListChkdskResult and save it to your Desktop
• Right click on the file and select Run as administrator
• When completed copy and paste the contents of the ListChkdskResult.txt report in your reply

GSmartControl for Windows - Portable

• Download GSmartControl for Windows - Portable and save it to your desktop
• Right click on gsmartcontrol.zip icon and select Extract All... then Extract
• Double click on the gsmartcontrol folder
• Right click on gsmartcontrol (not .manifest) and select Run as administrator
• Allow the program to search for and list your hard drive(s)
• Double click your drive C: drive
• Go to the Self-tests tab
• Make sure that the Test Type is set to Short Self-test
• Click the Execute button
• After the test completes, click the View Output button and copy and paste the contents in your reply

That is not a good sign.

Stop the chkdsk process then complete the ListChkdskResult step. In addition, run GSmart.
