Hey guys, big problem this time is: computer, stopped working.

I turned it on yesterday and was greeted with a a long beep followed by two short ones. I had a look as my setup and noticed the circuit breaker light wasnt working so thought it might be the breaker was playing up - so I got a replacement.

It worked again, but today it started up but didnt load up the graphics card - I restarted and met the beeps again - it doesnt even get to anything when loading BIOS, just beeps and stays blank screen.

The last thing I changed was adding a few more case fans and its been working fine for about a week and a half. I'm currently doing a Masters in 3d Animation and Im way behind with my final project already working 24/7 so I really cant afford not to do any work.

    PC Specs are:

    X2 Quad Core Intel Xion 2.5Hz,8GB RAM,Nvidia Geforce 9800GX2,Tyan Tempest i5400XT MoBo,Vista x64,X2 Sata & X3 IDE Drives,7 Case Fans.

    Any ideas? :(

Had a look around at beep codes. Someone said your MOBO was Phoenix, but none of their codes match yours.
All but one code I found says your code means a "video failure".
What's it showing in Device Manager (Sound, Video and Game Controllers)?
    Could try reinstalling drivers.
Any chance you nudged the video card when installing fans? Check that it's seated properly. Pull it out, check for dust, etc, and re-seat.

I think pheonix might be my bios... I dunno - either way it says Tempest i5400XT on the box so pretty sure thats what it is. The graphics card is bolted in solid, so dont think it's that. I'll try re-seating it though.

I cant check the device manager at the mo because it wont boot up but when i turned it on this morning it booted but my second monitor didnt work and i couldnt access the Nvidia control pannel.

If i need a new graphics card then im full-on ****ed lol

it sounds like a video issue, i looked up the model of motherboard you listed on google and i did find a manual that listed what the beep code you mentioned is for http://www.tyan.com/manuals/m_s5396_100.pdf. i hope i've been of some help.;)

Argh, well I think my graphics card is bolloxed - ive replaced it with a seriously old one and the machine boots. The card is still within warrenty but I dont think I have any way to prove it.

So... LAME, really dont think i have a spare £300 odd quid.
