1607 runtime error

when i try to install a game im getting a 1607 error went to windows website to fix and tryed to ressolve problem but its kind of over my head.does anyone know how to ressolve this in plain english.

Hi Bert

When trying to install the game ( and what is it BTW ) are you logged in as administrator?

also this may help http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;888019 ( but more the steps to re-instal the InstallScript engine over having to re-install XP )

i have tyred to reinstall the install script engine go to program files open installshield info and get what looks to me like codes.i done exactly what it has told me.there is no developer or redist files like it mentions
