Can anyone point me to where I could buy a Samsung PCB (Printed Circuit Board) I have searched and searched but no can find. I have a burnt out HD and I believe it could well be the circuit board has had it. I have 760 Gig of data I am trying to get back. As the PCB has had it there is NO power reaching the HD. I hope and pray that some on could help me here. Alternative is to but another Identical HD and swap PCB enabling me to retireve the lost data.

 

You have to make sure the PCB is an exact match. I would advise contacting them by email to make sure.

Hi again thanks for the link and reply. I have found one (a HD identical model) albeit second hand for sale at less money than a replacement PCB. Another queery is , would the 10 digit 'LBA' have to correspond/identical match ??? I am contacting the company that sold me the original to enquire if they have another in stock. Not much hope there as its about 12 months old and a newer model is all they appear to sell at the moment, but worth a try. Will keep you updated. Thanks again for response.

 

I am not 100% but if it is not an exact match, the vendors do something like a firmware transfer where they copy the firmware off of your bad board and then copy it to the new one.
