2:30am revelation

Nighttime cold medicine and computer schematics are not compatible.

I just wasted an hour trying to figure out what I need to buy to upgrade my memory only to realize I've been looking in the book for my old, blown-up motherboard as opposed to the one in my tower. :-o At this point I don't know what's worse...that I needed the book or that I had the wrong one. :-o I'm thinking maybe this project should be postponed until I am no longer sick. LOL

My 0230 revelation was that I need to have a Stalin like Grand Purge of raccoons out at my house and soon. I swear I never actually got more than 50 minutes of sleep before 1 of the 7 raccoons out on my land did something stupid and woke me up.

 

A great simple remedy for colds/flu's :

Drink a glass of hot ginger ale in bed under as many heavy blankets as you can handle. You will sweat like a hooker on nickle night but you will feel %100 better in the morning.

I have temporarily solved the "low memory problem" by switching back to IE from Firefox. Yet another reason to hate Firefox...it is a bigger resource hog than Avast and ZoneAlarm combined.

I shall wait on the technical aspects of this project until I am no longer taking Nyquil. LOL

Ya, FF eats up a lot of memory at times. Just looked and it's up to 300MB ATM. What I do is kill it periodically through TM and re-start it. Only necessary every few days as I leave my system running 24/7 but I have 4GB of memory so it doesn't really affect me unless FF itself is running slow.

 

Nope! I have, and I quote, "just a cold". rolleyes Been without my voice since Sunday night, coughing uncontrollably, etc. Nothing to do for it but wait and hope. And NOT start computer projects! :-D

LOL It just occurred to me...I should point out that my being online and/or building a computer at 2:30am is really quite common in normal circumstances (she says, glancing at the clock and seeing 3:52am). That's usually just when I'm getting out of work. It was the cold medicine that did me in, not the time of day. :-D
