first, when I select 'start' and 'my computer' and 'local disk C drive", my computer brings up the Windows Search companion instead of accessing the C drive. I just started this about a week ago, and I'm sure I did it somehow but can't figure out how I did it. Please help, it's driving me crazy.

2nd, and less important, when I travel, I can receive my email through outlook express but cannot send out. The error message I receive says SMTP socket error. If I log onto my AOL account, it will send mail no problem.

I use windows XP and a Gateway laptop with 512 Ram and 200 ghz processor.
