2 hard drives ,how?

i have a spare hard drive and was wondering if and how i can install this into my comp and would it improve its performance :confused

 

The type of machine can determine if a second drive can be installed. If it can, install as a Slave drive.
May not improve performance, but gives extra storage space for downloading programs files ,or to back-up to.
I have one installed while blank formatted, then used xxClone to copy C drive to it, then if C goes bad, I just switch drives.

I think its still got a copy of windows on it with a few bits of stuff on,is it still ok to put in?do i nead to install a fresh copy of windows on it i haven't got any idia how its done.Will the program You mentioned do this for me?

 

It will work as a slave storage drive even if it has stuff on it.You can access it through My Computer and see what all is there.
Do NOT use xxClone to copy your C drive to it with Windows already installed. Could create problems.

 

Sorry i really don't know what im doing :-Dso i set it to slave and simply plug in? thats it , job done, no wires betwixt hard drives just nail em to mother board.:highfive
