so i recently added a second monitor, and am having fun with it.
what i want is another 'startbar' that i can put on the second monitor. i serached through some downloads under 'appearance', but couldnt find anything.

IDEALLY, and i doubt its feasible, the monitors would act independant of each ohter, in a sense. i woudl have a startbar on each, and if i clicked the ie quicklaunch on moniter 1, ie would show up on monitor 1. then i could click ie quicklaunch on monitor 2, and ie would show up on 2. ideally.. but what i basically want is a bar with the startmenu/quicklaunch/taskbar/date, and wont replace my current bar, and will allow me to place it on the bottom of the 2nd monitor.

im hoping someone knows what i'm talking about, and knows of something that would help.... thanks if you can!

I think I understand you, do you mean you basically want two computers on one... like use a mouse on the other screen as well I.e. play a game on one and surf on the otehr, or did I just completely miss the point? :)

I far as i know computers.. and i know...
there is no way to do what you describe, and that's from the reason
that you can open two desktops on one XP (I guess that's what your running).

[EDIT] Removed link. This link not only contains pop-ups but almost immediately pops up a download for an exe file. Do NOT put this link in our forums again. Consider this your final warning as I have removed this previously from your posts.[/EDIT]

Yes, it is. Your computer is doing several things at once right now, just look in your Task Manager. It all depends on how much memory and processor power is available as to how much. Using a dual monitor setup just makes it more convenient as you can open the game on one monitor and a browser on the other monitor.

well I understand that... but how would I be able to move the mouse and such on the other screen I mean is that even possible to have two mouses?

Your desktop would be extended over on the other screen and as far as Windows is concerned one giant desktop. You would simply move your mouse pointer over to or drag a window around to where you want it on the second monitor just as you normally do on one screen. It 's not a second OS running, it's just a giant desktop stretched over two monitors. That's why there is no second Windows taskbar on the second monitor, it only shows up on the one selected as the primary monitor. Ultramon is a complete multimonitor manager and the MM Taskbar app gives the second monitor a taskbar to minimize apps in the second monitor onto.

Here's an ancient example of my set-up. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8934

You will notice that I have an IE window (I know, it was long ago before I knew better) on each monitor.

ok, but how would I bget it so I could play say doom 3 and go online at the same time, you cant drag your mouse off that or tab it out.

Most games either pause or minimize them selves when the cursor goes outside the current window, probably not gonna ever be able to do what your suggesting.

Ive tried Ultramon and others but could never get any game to not minimize when mouse clicking on the other display. You can leave a screen (ie. Team speak) up and other monitor without a problem but when you click there it will minimize the game. I wish there was a way to do it but I never found one.

once again doom 3 won't let you drag the mouse out of the game.
