2001 chevy cavalier

Kind of late so probably no reply soon quick enough. But car running and got 1 crappy hanger. No power locks and the lock is on the inside of the door on the panel. Also no money to pay locksmith. Iam looking for any hints of sites maybe. I can't find nothing special. I seen a thing about a lock feature inside the actually door and down through the glass window. but never done that type and didnt know it had one.

 

Update hammer + 1 window = cheaper then people to come. Was going to barrow money from family and it was going to be 250.00! Wth so 100.00 window tomarrow makes me feel better

 

Ouch, sorry you had to break the window, but used glass is cheap. Get a couple of spare keys made when you have a little extra $.

 

Or a $5.00 SlideBar from Advance ot Napa with some practice.
Practice with your keys in your pocket,of course.
I could have been inside within 5 minutes.
Plenty of practice at a used car dealership.

 

Still cheaper and faster than replacing the window.

 

Well really sucks that Ive been having brain farts as I call them lately. Just last week I locked me and her outside the apt building and you need a key inside the apt plus the actual apt key. Plus Ive done this car thing a month ago. Just being not my luck. And Ive used a hanger before. Grew up with a sister who locked keys inside the old car weekly and I learned that way. But yes used hanger. Not to mention this is my GF car that is more difficult to get into plus she doesnt want to hurt the trim on the door and etc.. And when you don't even got 1 dollar in my wallet or hers cause we just paid and spent it that day. Then its crappy. I was out there with crappy hanger I got from neighbors cause we only use plastic.. Also no real screw drivers and what not.. So really was dead road. And all people wanted a lot of money with it being so late and special weekend. I know its usually 60.00 for person but they said that price.. I said no ty. Also plenty of people said call the police they will open it.. Well I know its not true... cause I called them last time. They only open if a child is inside the car and locked in.

We did the same thing and locked ourselves out of the apartment (both doors) it cost $66 to get the locksmith to open and let us in.

 

Yeah just sucks cause I hate the apts and hate the apt owners. I actually know them(old best friend grandparents). But they just want money and dont care. You can't make a copy of the key to get inside the apt. And the "so call buzzer" to ring yourself inside doesn't work and hasnt seen Ive been here. I tried all apt and they don't work. And there is a woman who cant afford the bills so she does some what of maint type work to earn her apt here. And she has spear keys... but shes never around either.
