256MB memory stick pro , BRANDS?

I have seen Sony sell there version 256MB memory stick pro for 190$


Lexmark has one near $100 and , but the reviews of the lexmark are stating it is every bit as good as Sony , who has high price on all accesories

a third Brand seen on market is SanDisk for as little as $60. I know the adage about getting what you pay for....

does any one know for certain about SanDisk ? quality
AND compatable performance with SONY Digital camera DSC-P52

What is the situation regarding card readers and there quality ,


are some inferior incompatable ? Is there another series memory stick easily confused with memory stick pro- something that is for other applications BUT SOUNDS like it is same thing- something to watch out for.?

 

I can say I've had a sandisk card reader and it works just fine. I don't think there is a big difference between the different brands of card readers.

As for the memory sticks, Sony always likes you to pay for their name rather than their quality. Just a guess, but I imagine the cards are all very similar in performance and quality. Not to mention, they might all even be made by the same company. Sony may just paint them purple and put their name on it. ???
