I'm trying to install a second hard drive, I'm running windows 2000, the hard drive has linux on it, so I need to reformat it. I have it hooked up and set as the slave drive, the BIOS sees it, but windows doesn't. It doesn't show up in "my computer" and "add/remove new hardware" can't find it either. I've been trying to run fdisk, but it won't run from windows, it says the program is trying to directly access the hard disk which isn't supported. Another forum said to put fdisk in when the computer is booting, on a floppy, that doesn't seem to work either, it says "couldn't find NTLDR." Any suggestions?
