No seriously, I know how you feel when I first watched the demo videos like that one on what Longhorn was going to be like I actually twisted the arm of someone at MSFT to get me into the Connect beta on Longhorn ( Vista as it became ), but in reality many of the ideas in Longhorn where not at this time workable so many where dropped, then came the hoohaa on what Microsoft could add to the OS or now, with other companies siting anticompetitive behavour and the anti-trust cases, this put development back massively.

If MSFT where allowed to just do what they wanted without fear of these antitrust cases then you would see some fantastic things.

But quite possibly you may see some reapear in Windows 7 in various guises adn some new stuff, the list of what "maybe" added to W7 from the feedback to Vista, is quite exciting so if your game for testing then sign up to MS Connect and when Windows 7 come up for the private beta stages, register your interest and if accepted, this will allow you to help shape the way this next OS may look.
