3 pin to 4 pin converter, exsist?

little did i know i woul run into this problem, my motherboard has a 3 pin connector for the heatsink and fan, the fan i got is a little 4 pin one, not a 3 pin, so i need a converter, does it exsist or do i got to buy a new heatsink/fan?

those are incorrect, the 4 pin is small not big like a IDE 4 pin cable

 

Looks like the Egg is having problems, I cannot access your links, but yes, I am almost positive you can get an adapter for it. Or if you can't, get a different fan for the heatsink.

well the motherboard is an asus P5N-E sli, and the heatsink/fan is a thermaltake, im not sure on the model offhand

motherboard has a 4 pin connection male while the heatsink is a 3 pin female, there is another 3 pin male on the motherboard, but the problem is, if i use that the mobo reports an error that there is no heatsink/fan everytime i boot, now i know i can disable that, but drather fix the problem

 

The 4th pin is just an extra ground I do believe. You can use the 3 pin fan on the four pin mobo connection. I do it on my own ASUS P5B-E mobo. Just need to make sure its aligned correctly for the power.
