33 trojans, easier to restore original software than chase problems?

Howdy, quick question, sons computer has 33 trojan downloaders, would it be quicker and easier to just restore the original software from Dell than to chase down the problem? or would some of this bad stuff remain? Nothing of value on computer.

 

If there is nothing of value then I would say it's easier to format and reinstall however we can clean your system as good as we possibly can.

BJ, this is not the computer that you and I are working on, I'm Kaspersky scanning right now, this is another computer for the son. I would use the dell restore which i don't know if it reformats, thats the question, would it rewrite to new, or might there be some problems left on it? It would be easier and faster to restore than go through the malware steps on his cc, on mine, I'm doing the steps.

As far as your sons computer goes, if there is nothing on it then I would say its best to format and reinstall. If you have the Dell Reinstallation Disc it will allow you to format and reinstall. During the Setup be sure you choose "F" for format or else it will be a waste of time. I recommend going to the Software Forum help with this.
