3oo gig drive

I just bought this bare banes and was assured that it would recognize a 300 gig drive. It shows in bios as a 300 gig.... yet in windows explorer it shows to be 127 gig.......any ideas...what can i do?

okay i went to maxtor and downloaded their thingy to enable lba ...then i went the registry and found :

EnableBigLBA...............Reg_Word........0x00000001 (1)

This should have enabled the drive to show larger than 127 gig ...should it not??
yet when i look in windows explorer it still is showing 127 gig......any more ideas??

and then i downloaded another thingy to enable it and it said:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed. It is not necessary to set EnableBigLba in the Windows registry for this version of Windows. There is nothing you need to do.

1 question though.. have you restarted the computer since your changes? If not, you should!
