4 in 1 card reader?

cant get my card reader to start up. we usually pull up our pics in picassa after sticking the sd card in the card reader, but for some reason the option to read the card reader is not even coming up. only cdrive, d, and e. anyone know how to reslove this?

 

Did you just install Real Player 10?

no i haven't installed real player 10. i'm trying to reinstall the crw as we speak hopefully that doesn't make things worse

 

arghh, just reinstalled the driver and the card reader is still not functioning. i don't even know how to pull it up, in the programs it only has an uninstall folder

 

Have you checked in the control panel/system/hardware/device manager to see if it is there and has an error (!) after it. If so uninstall and reinstall

 

thats what did it i checked that earlier and the (yellow !) was next to usb reader, but i didn't know that had anything to do with the card reader hrmm what would cause the (yellow !)

 

some kind of unknown error (normally driver not fully installed)when I get that I remove in that panel and then check for hardware changes and the hardware normally reinstalls and works properly
