   i'm working my way towards building my first computer. in researching the cpu , i've pretty much decided on an amd athlon ll x 4 640. it comes in several ghz and wattages. my question is, what are the advantages or disadvantages of 45w verses 95w. tia

   Less heat, smaller heatsink, quieter, less electricity. I'd go for the 45W depending if there's any price difference or cache size between the two.
