4k Dvd

I have Win7. 64 Bit and an i3 CPU.
I use Windows Media Clasic to play my DVDs.

But when I put my 4K DVD I just got into my DVD Drive it does not play.

Do I need a 4K DVD Drive?

 

You need a different software player, like VLC

and I tryed to use DVD Decripter and DVD Shrink to Copy the DVD to my Hard Drive.

And both Programs say there is No Disc why?

Is this also because it is a 4K DVD?

I'm not aware of a 4k DVD format. Is it perhaps BluRay?

 

BlueRay, as a note, is yet another standard for the media and you would need to have a BlueRay drive to read it.

 

I did a little digging on this one, and found - It seems that you do need a 4K DVD Drive
4K - this is the latest standard of image quality. It's an incredible four-times sharper than Full-HD, but needs a special 4K player, 4K-ready TV and 4K Blu-ray discs to be viewed.
You need to use 4K playback compatible software2 to watch 4K video on 4K-capable computer3. - Or.,
Use HDMI cables (ver. 2.0 or higher) to connect your 4K-capable Handycam®, Action Cam or computer to a 4K compatible TV.
Can a 4k DVD play on a regular DVD player?

Disc Formats. All Blu-ray players can play commercial Blu-ray discs and standard DVDs. But you'll need an Ultra HD Blu-ray player to play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. Both types of Blu-ray players can play commercially released CDs and mayplay CDs burned with MP3 files
