    Ok I installed Windows 7 Ultimate build 7600 32bit.

I have everything working well except my 5.1 sound.
In sound options it tests and all speakers sound off correctly.
Resident Evil 5 works in all speakers.
But when I play music it only comes out of the left and right front speakers.

I had the same setup in XP and remember doing something in Media player to make all speakers sound off with music, but I can't remember for the life of me what I did.

I also no longer have my sound software because aparently it's not available for W7.

Onboard sound, Mobo is Asus M2N-VM

I also have a PCI card Dynex DX-SC51 but never needed to use it with this mobo cos onboard sound works fine.....until now lol

You didn't specify what speakers you have but there may be a Matrix swith on the back of your amp or on your remote which will simulate surround sound from a stereo input.

    Speakers are Logitech X-530
Like I said though, as far as hardware hook up nothing has changed, the only thing different is I am ow on Windows 7 instead of XP and I no longer have Realtek software. (I think it was realtek, never really paid much attention to the name, I just used it lol)

Well, the only place left to look at is drivers. See if your mobo has W7 driver support from the ASUS site. BTW, you do have a Realtek audio chip. Maybe a Vista driver would work as I couldn't find W7 for your board. you may have better luck.

Yeah thats the probs I was having, while W7 installed some form of generic drivers I couldn't find Asus ones, I was pointed to Nvidia and Nvidia's site found the "Correct" drivers but they wouldn't install. Vista drivers may be an idea, I'll give it a whirl.
    Thanks for trying though :)
