64 Bit Question

Sorry if I'm making a repeat thread on this. Every time I install 64 bit windows it seems like all my 32 bit applications like world of warcraft, Microsoft word and a few others run incredibly slow in 64 bit windows. When I install 32 bit windows all my games and everything run fine. At least, I say it's 32 bit because it seems like these were coded in the win32 API there's no way telling for sure since Blizzard and Microsoft never tell you (they aren't open source). I develop programs in the win64 API and am a complete noob to the win32 API so I don't know how it works or if I'm just being paranoid about this.

But basically these programs (Mainly games) will run incredibly slow. Playing world of warcraft I'll get 10 fps on ultra with a hd6850. That's just abnormal and I honestly have no idea why 64 bit windows is running my applications incredibly slow like that. None of my other friends with similar setups as me do. The only thing I can personally think of is that my video card isn't stable because i've tested it in furmark and most other people get 20-30 fps with the hd6850 running it at it's "peak" yet i'm only getting 1-3 it's not making sense. I always get graphical lag and it's weird.
