64 bit window$, anyone tried it?

    Howdy folks,

    Has anyone tried out 64bit windows? Feedback?
    I am wondering when to jump in. (I have the hardware)
    Suggestions?

    When to jump in?

    Not this year.

    The current released version of XP 64 is Itanium CPU only and not available as a retail product.

    It requires 64 bit apps as well.

    I don't see it being real useful to anyone just yet.

    Not to challenge a real expert

    but when I was walking my mom through her latest window$ update, I notice that M$ seems to be getting 64bit ready for prime time:

    It could be old news, or I don't know what I am talking about.
