7-in-1 Card Reader is not floppy..

I just purchased a 7-in-1 card reader for my desktop. I bought my system a short time before card readers became standard equipment. After installing it and booting up my system, windows mistakenly recognises the reader as a Floppy Drive.
The reader is a Hewlett Packard 3.5-inch 7-in-1 card reader. Its item number is 5069-6272. I'v mounted it in a spare 3.5 inch bay and connected it to my motherboards internal USB header as specified in the instuctions. Upon the first restart windows found new hardware and mis-identified it as a floppy drive. I'v been looking for proper drivers for hours with no success.

I'm running windows xp sp2 with all the proper updates. If you need any other infomation just ask.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a model number instead of the item number?

EDIT- nevermind found it.

 

Have you tried e-mail HP or talking to a live tech support?

 

Haven't gone through techsupport as of yet. I enjoy a challenge (torturing myself) and figureing things out on my own but am out of ideas, which is why i came here. HP tech support may end up being nessasary. I'll give it a bit and see what you good folks can come up with first.
