80X15 Major Geeks button

Boing!

I've decided to make all the buttons on my blog 80x15, so they all go in a nice consistant, trendy, stack. But that means I have to make my own 80x15 Major Geeks banner. I'm not so great at making very small graphics that are readable (I can do stuff like bullet points, but stuff with text on it is harder).

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has done it before, or whether someone wants to try, and what you think of my effort

Who knows, if CP/MA like it enough they might put it with the other banners on the main site*wink wink nudge nudge*

I was thinking about a 80x15 button for MG Folding specifically actually, but its hard enough getting 2 words (Major Geeks) inteligible in that tiny space, let alone a third and logo of some sort.

 

The only thing set in stone really is its size: 80x15 pixels. But it should look a bit like these:

Cheers both of ya. I was using a pixel version of Tahoma that I got some time ago for buttons, even that doesn't like going that small thought it seems!

The blurryness I can handle - turn off anti-aliasing - but when you do that they go jaggey.

I would LOVE to be able to afford a font archive, but they cost LOADS. Or at least the ones I've seen do.

There is the alterantive to make the font up as you go yeah I've done that from time to time, when the need calls.

That daFONT site is great, but it'd be nice to have a whole load just to start with The only fonts I've got at the moment are the standard Windows fonts and some comic lettering fonts (Blambot mostly).

Nice work kodo Only problem: Geek dude looks like he's eating his nose. LOL... perhaps you could shimmy the face around a little to make the chin look more like a chin rather than a very high lip Other than that its great
