    Hello,
I am having a serious problem with my new motherboard and video card. Im about reading to chunk it all, so i am desperate for help!

    A) Equipment:
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800pro All in Wonder
    Motherboard: Asus K8N
    CPU: AMD 64 3000+
    RAM: 1g (2x512) kingston

    B) The Problem:
When video card power is hooked up, and the card is plugged in, nothing comes on. I get a small flux of power for maybe a 1/10th of a second, and then nothing. The mother board light stays on, but thats all i can get.

    C) Trouble Shooting attempts:
I have tried all of the following. First I tried a different video card (one w/out needing another source of power.) and it works just fine. I tried putting my video card into another system, and it works just fine. I tried a different (smaller) powersupply on my system, and i get the same problem. Ive tried different power cords inside the sysem, same problem. If i turn on the system w/out the power hooked up to the video card, i get the warning screen saying i need to plug in the power to the video card.

    D) Summary:
I have combed the web for hours trying to find something on this problem, and i cant find a single thing. I have verified that all of the componets in my system are in full working order, just not combined in my system. The only solution i can come up with, is a campatibility issue between the video card and the mother board, but I couldnt find any information on this problem. Im hoping its just a jumper setting or something, but again, i cant find any information on this problem.

Thank you in advance for ANY information that may help me solve this problem.

What psu do you have? Sounds like it don't have enough power to supply the system or is faulty when the video card is pluged in and of course when you switched to a smaller psu that didn't help.

    Update...
I attempted to put a lager PSU in the case. I went with a 400 450 and 500, all of them did not work.
I then attempted to put a standard Radeon 9800pro in the system. That worked just fine.
Im still unable to get the 9800pro AIW to work with the motherboard.

thanks doby... Tried with no success... =(
