I'm a new member here and hope to get some helpful info.

I have had Norton find several TMP files in _RESTORE folder while doing an AdAware scan.
I did a search for _RESTORE but could not find it on in my system (ME) Any ideas??

it is a inside a hidden folder called System Volume Information. its at the root of any drive that System Restore protects.

If you remove data from _restore, its likely you will lose your system restore points.

    FYI.

The virus has been removed from your system by Norton, but a copy of it had previously been saved to a restore point. No anti-virus has access to these files (Which are of no use to you, since if you use the restore point, you will re-infect your system.).
Turn off system restore. Reboot and run norton to make sure you are clean. Turn restore back on and create a new restore point.
