Alright... i just ordered a chipset fan (I am kind of fan crazy) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1024721&CatId=1190 theres my mobo... how difficult will it be to put the fan on?

    Second question...
My girlfriend has an old hdd that she wants to put in her computer... of course, i dont know exactly how to do this jumper wise... what jumpers do i have to move?
Also... my girlfriend's computer had a cpu temp of 79 the other day... i shut it off... took everything out fiddled with the cpu fan and now its running at about 62... i ordered a new cpu fan for her computer with my chipset fan... any other suggestions on how to get the temp way down?

It shouldnt be too hard to get the fan on. Just carefully pop off the plastic screws and replace the hsf. Also make sure you use a good silver base. Arctic Siler 3 or 5 would be best.

For keeping your girl friends computer temps down. Also make sure you put on some Arctic silver when you install the new HSF. The website above has a good guide on applying the stuff.

Also add some fans in the front and back of the case. The processor can only get as cool as the air around it. Make that air cooler, and your processor could get cooler also.

    Your second question:

There are usually black jumpers on the back of the drives. The one with the operating system should be set as master. Then another divice with a "slave" jumper setting would go on that drive.

On your second channel, you have one drive set as master, and one set as slave.

Typically the farthest drive on the cable is the mater, and the one closest to the motherboard is the slave.
