Ferry 'cross the Mersey


And I don't mean Birkenhead

 

Ha just noticed, yeah that might be a bit of a giveaway

Still anyone who's ever seen the Building in question, or St George's Hall, in fact many of the buildings there will not forget it.

Did the Ferry bit on my sons birthday one year, absolutely scorching hot, very enjoyable and cringingly touristic

I like the city and of course it's just down the road from me, oops

Nice to see that the old Liver Bird is still on it's perch! Got to be at least 10 years since I was last at the Pier Head.

Trips to the Mersey and Albert Dock. Ah, those were the old days for us. I remember fishing off the big Pier.

History goes way back to 1207, when the Monks from Birkenhead Priory begin the first ferry service across the Mersey.
