A disk read error occurred

    I finally got my biostar Mo/bo, ram and cpu, Hooked it all up, ran the OS CD; then it says restart, after the restart i get the following..

    Verifying DMI pool data.......................

    A disk read error occurred

    Press ctrl + Alt + Del to restart..



    My question is, what would cause this, is it possible the OS CD is corrupted (Bad cd or copy) ?

    Is there something else i was supposed to do other than putting the board in my pc tower, hooking everything up and running the CD?

    Thanks for any help..

    I switched the HD to the slave connector on the IDE cable and it works, very odd.
