A few problems with a new computer

I just got a new computer maybe two weeks ago. I am having two problem. One problem, however, I'd had with my old computer as well, so maybe it is just me.

I am using an optical mouse, and I just bought a new one today to try to combat the problem however it isn't working. The problem is mostly noticable while playing a game such as Call of Duty. When playing I will sometimes looks up or down without choosing to and begin spinning around rapidly in circles. I used to use a Microsoft Basic Optical. I just got a Durabrand Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse.

The other problem is more serious. When ever I turn my computer off. Actually off, this doesn't occur when restarting, the computer doesn't like to turn back on properly. It will go to the start up screen (a screen displaying the company logo, the company is Compaq) which has the Setup, Boot Menu, and Recovery options. It will stay on that and some times the computer will not recognize my mouse or keyboard (evident by the fact that no lights are showing on either).

One last thing, a small problem, is that when I get past start up (restart or turn off/on, either or) when it is going from the Windows loading screen to get to the desktop I get errors saying "There is no disk in drive .." and I get a few of those. So I assume it is related to the media reader slots. It doesn't create a big problem.. just something that happens and I have to click "OK". This problem doesn't occur often I don't think, either.

 

Microsoft might be able to help with the mouse issue. It might correct the others.
