I have no idea why and don't really care either. I also don't think you'll get any clarification from someone in the know either. Obviously a spat happened, seen this happening elsewhere too, even at the site I work for. Just let it be.

 

They have the same petition signing site in the UK but the threshold for a debate is 100.000 and then they do the same (pat on the head) so democracy is dead.

Well, I was under no illusion that these petitions would ever have any effect, the one I was originally posting about was funny, but the ars techinca word/link filter sidetracked the thread .
