A near miss with the lynching mob

Phew, that was close. Went outside 3 days ago to check our very small pond, and noticed mosquito larvae. The winter cover is still on our pool, with a few inches of rain water on it, so i checked it too. THOUSANDS of larvae, all swimming and having a good time. So I dumped a heavy concentration of chlorine on 'em. Checked the next day, even more! So I spent all of last night bailing, siphoning, and cleaning the pool cover and pond in the pouring rain. (It's a good thing I'm English.) Usually have the cover off the first week in June to avoid this situation, but we were out of town the last two weekends. It's a fairly labour intensive job. I think one more day would have been too late. Oh, the lynching mob? They would be all the neighbours around us speculating on where the mosquitos originated.

The funny thing was as I read your post I noticed the sponsored ad at the top of the MG page was for mosquito pest control LOL. Somebody's watching you

We're getting ready to go down to Bushnell for about a month to set up for Cornerstone festival and be eaten alive by mosquitos for a couple of weeks. Thankfully, by July 4th weekend, there will be nearly 10,000 other victims, er.. people I mean, for them to feed on. Unfortunately, they all come back with a vengeance after everyone leaves

that stuff's amazing, keeps all the buggies away. even keeps fleas off dogs, too bad I loathe the scent of it.lol
