A Program To Auto Update Host File

Hi there,

I just registered here because I couldn't find a little program and maybe here you could help me.

I'm on windows 10 and I need a little and friendly program to auto update the Host file from a web source.

I should have mentioned, I already tried HostsMan a few weeks ago... it wasn't conclusive. It's the only program I've tried.
I think the problem was that it updated the date and time of the host file in Windows Explorer, but not the contents of the file.
Btw I'm going to try it again to see because that's what it's supposed to do.

Download & install wget from http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htm
Open notepad and type or copy and paste this:

wget -P"%homepath%" "https://sebsauvage.net/hosts/hosts"
copy /v /y "%HOMEPATH%\hosts" "%WinDir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"

Save as "DL-HOSTS.bat" or whatever name with a bat extension. To test right click run as admin.
Open Windows task scheduler and create a task to run this however often *Important* with administrative rights.
