I downloaded advanced spyware remover and installed it (I repeated the process later) but it never worked, anyone had the same problem?

I installed this program to test and it worked fine for me, so if you can fully describe whats happening maybe we can figure the problem out?

Which Windows version you using?

What if any errors are you getting? ( either installing it or running )

Do you have spyware that this program doesnt remove?

I have W xp sp2. The program simply doesnt run, on the task manager it either appears as not responding or running but there is no change on the programs status bar, it remains at 0%. Thanks for your time.

I installed it again to test, and only thing I can think of that "maybe" the cause is have that is if you have a firewall given it access to the internet to update?

Dependent on firewall ( I have only Zone Alarm installed ) ASR gives my firewall outgoing warnings of two popup warnings that are for the ASR to access the net, to allow the app to fully run I had to give it access, if I blocked it, it ASR didnt work or Scan properly as when I allowed it access.

BTW is it the freeware or Pro version your using?

I am using the freeware version or I was I since changed to Asquare, I also use zonealarm but there were no popups or request to accesss the net.
