A sexy harddrive?

The raptor X,I never would have thought a harddrive could look good but WD have pulled it off,you can actually see the heads working,the fastest,best looking and reduculously overpriced harddrive in the world

I paid $153 for my 74GB 10K RPM SATA Raptor at Best Buy, I'd have just gotten 2 and did without the other 2GB that cost $23

Oh, and RAIDed them for even faster performance!

 

For that money I could get a new computer!

Looks nice, but I think there are things more worth putting that kind of money on when it comes to computers.

That's really nice, but i don't really see the point? How you can see it going when it's sitting in your drive bay? Besides... i'd rather use my computer than watch it.

 

That why you mount that puppy virtical in the front of your computer in its own bat with its own light

 

The only problem is those Raptors are way over priced.

I wouldnt mind having a couple but not at $2 or more per GB Aint gunna happen

I thought 'those harddrives must be dead' I thought right It'll weight a ton

Its the fastest sata drive in the world your gonna pay for it,if I were building a system today I would be willing to pay that much,I payed about £130 for my 35 gig raptor over a year ago and havnt regretted the purchase once it'd cost about just over £200 UK bucks,that worth it if you ask me even if the drive that was just slower cost half the price I'd be wishing I d bought the raptor just so i knew I had the fastest
