We've been working on this for about 2 weeks and have to perform this on Tuesday (at 9am!). Anyway this isn't a proper recording, we'll be doing that very soon, it's just a rough MIDI working to get an idea!

That's really very pretty. I love the clarinet (flute? not sure if that's what that was) in the beginning.

Honestly, I think it's very good. A very soothing song. Your url title...is Moon in the name of the song. If so, it fits.

Ah the flute thing is only there to replace the vocals temporarily! and moon-recording.com is my website, has no resemblance to the song I'm afraid!

Yup, normal service will resume soon!

You be turning into a ballet dancer next McA, what happened to the industrial techno? ;)

Nah seriously, its very good and would not be out of place as a TV or Film score theme track, are you aiming in that direction?

Is the track built from electronics or is the drums actual drums and piano a piano? just curious, and either way the construction of the track and instruments used are exceptional.

Industrial techno?! That's news to me!

Definitely not heading in the TV or Film score direction, too much stress methinks. The track is all built up using Logic, MIDI data and then instrumental plugins within Logic to play the MIDI notes.

As I said earlier, we're going to get it properly recorded in the coming weeks and we'll see how that turns out!

    Hi McA

You know me I cannot remember last week let alone ages ago but though one of your tracks that I did listen too was more electronic trancy type... maybe wasnt you.

Sounds good as is but will only become more polished as you recored it properly I guess, are you going to create a few more tracks in the same style (EP prehaps)?

Suppose I should let you guys hear Monday afternoon/evening's fiasco!

We had a 6 hour session with the university big band, this is one of the tracks - http://www.moon-recording.com/music/Minnie Bounce.mp3

Please bare in mind that it's unprocessed and needs a lot of work still!

Are you into Hi Dee Hi, (Cab Calloway) these days, LoL!. I think that Minnie needs to do a little more mooching - but not bad.;)

Another update for you - this is going to be performed on May 14th, just written all the parts and recorded them in the past 3 hours. The recording quality is terrible but that's not the issue!
The synthy/piano-like sound will be the vocal line -

    Hy McA

Not bad at all, in a weird way that track reminded me of The Shadows loosely, which is not a bad thing!
