I am currently performing all the steps in the "READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT" to solve a problem unrelated to my problem I have at this moment. Everthing I have scanned or run has been clean up to TrojanScan online scan. It found one worm (IRC-WORM.Momma.e) in a piece of Savings Bond software I had download from the US Gov about 3 years ago. It directed me to go to a-squared (a2) personal to delete the worm --- would probably be delete with a-squared (a2) Free editions, which is next on the list of items to run.

I have tried down loading both pieces of software, a-squared personal and Free and it first requires me to register, which is my problem. I only have an AOL account so I never get the info needed when I try to register.

Last night I removed from my PC the Saving Bond Software including the module identified as containing the IRC-Worm.Momma.e hoping that would do the trick... no good. Tonight I booted up and immediately ran TrojanScan and it found the IRC.Worm.Momma.e in the following module - C:\Recycler\S-1-5-21-1645522239-1547161642-682003330-1004\Dc1.exe.

    Can anyone help me?

    Empty your Recycle Bin!

If you still have problems after that, complete the remaining steps of the READ ME FIRST, and then the below if still necessary.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

    Thanks chaslang,

    "Empty your Recycle Bin!"

After Removing the installed software using "Add/Remove Programs" the *.exe program that actually installed the software and contyained the worm, was still on the PC and without thinking I just "Deleted" without thinking that that would just move it to the recycle bin.

Purged the Recycle Bin, reran TrojanScan --- No Problems found.

    Again Thanks
    Wayne
