Is A-squared free edition just a scanner?
Meaning that there's no point in having it on your computer unless you are gonna do scans?

    HI

Yes, its a standalone on demand scanner, it is not a resident one to pick up malware live. However its still worth having a 2nd opinion application installed as you cannot have two live resident scanners installed at once as they tend to conflict and use up system resources, but to run a on demand scan is still a good choice.

Why you ask, well not all malware scanners pick up the same things, and A-Squared is a pretty good scanner, they update alot so thats good.

    Thanks for the answears Halo

    "Why you ask"
Only because I sometimes have to help other people with malware problems, and if they dont want to run scans themselfs, then there's no need for me to make a-squared a part of their comps security setup.

My Pleasure and I agree with you if they are not going to routinely run a manual scanner then its not worth having it.
