A-Squared Software

There's so much good data on malware/spyware/trojan protection that what specfic layers of protection is the best gets buried. For example...I have installed & I use Lavasoft's Adaware pgm...Spybot Search & Destroy...SpywareBlaster...and Norton Anti-virus Basic. Then there is A-Squared software that you purchase. The scan did identify a few trojan-downloaders that the others could not find. So it appears that in addition to the other free malware scans that the purchase of A-Squared is valid? Is there a free download avail that will also identify trojan-downloaders or other type of malware?
