A suggestion

At the bottom of the Must have Free downloads page,

There appears the following:

"There are currently 1980 Geeks online"
or whatever number is appropriate when you visit.

May I suggest that the same legend appear where the names of those members appear in each Forum.
It may encourage members and guests to visit other forums to find out what other Geeks are viewing, on MG. Bazza

All I'm trying to do is get guests (and members) to investigate other forums. We all have our method of operation and check out certain forums and ignore others, like Interesting links forum, etc. Bazza

Okay, but look. When I scroll down I can always see that there's 1 member viewing and 0 guests. That's me. So then I know where I am.

If I understand you right. Forums can only show totals for reading that forum.
Dumb me. Doh.
Cannot show overall total on MG, in forums. Another idea down the tubes. Oh well. Bazza
