Thankyou....but already did it, somehow followed that first thread around a wee bit, got a couple posts out of order on myself, and in the end - machine is done. thoroughly infection, trojan, worm, hijackers, keylogger FREE.

I do repairs for a living now, but use this site a whole bunch for the most excellent research.
Usually after ya'll gimme the strokes to get me started - the lights come on, so to speak - and all my 'book learnin' " kicks in. I generally just need a jump start. I'm headed for machine #217 since 2004. yea !

Keep up the great work. If it were not for folks like you on forums - old ladies like me would never 'brave' the computer world any further than the Best Buy store !!! lol

Oh, I got ripped off a lot, and was quite a sucker -
Until I started taking classes, reading every tutorial I could find, and
digesting a whole lot of forum, support site, manfr. sites info - then I did the MS thing and got my desktop technician certificate. Did a lot of work for a year with help from a guy who did this way longer, and now-after four years - I get about four machines a week for general fix ups and upgrades.
It's fun.
