A Working Game Pad On Vista Ultimate x64?

Hi guys and gals,

I've recently just got vista and was looking forward to some gaming... But alas it looks as though none of my controllers are working. On XP I used to be able to connect my PS3 controller and load up a driver and it would run like a dream, but now Vista recognises it, but it doesn't actually work. I also had a PS2 to PC adapter, but that isn't recognised.

So unless anyone knows any work arounds for these (or maybe some drivers which I haven't found), what is the best controller and/or adapter that will run without any problems on Vista Ultimate 64?
