a2 squared found backdoor.win32.RAdmin.ag

I looked up backdoor.win32.radmin.aq virus and couldn't find any documentation that said it was actually a virus. I just want to make sure before I remove this file that it is not a normal part of the vonage install. Thanks for taking a look.

It's a remote access program which seems to be installed by Vonage.

That being said, do you want a remote access program installed on your computer?

Sorry not so familiar with remote access programs. As long as deleting the program won't interfere with the Vonage working then I will delete it. Is the a standard Vonage feature? I've had Vonage for several years now and this is the first time this has shown up on a scan.

It sounds like it's a standard installation and I would simply call them and ask why they put a remote access on your computer and if there is some way you can be sure that it's not active. I assume they put it on people's computers for remote support as more and more companies seem to be going to that.
