Abandoned

There's still people clinging on to the hope that this mysterious indie game by Blue Box Game Studios, is all just some ruse to secretly promote an upcoming revival of the Silent Hill franchise.

It's a dead series, people. Maybe it's best not to look into this too much. Although at Gamescom, there was seemingly yet another tease from Hideo Kojima.

Speaking of things being dead, it is like all gaming forums today are so inactive, because of us being in the Facebook and Twitter era. Unfortunately, the busy ones like GameFAQs are full of trolls, so posting there is rather pointless.

 

I agree, Silent Hill is gone & isn’t going to come back.
Deep down I hope I’m wrong as I love SH but I’m not grasping at straws.

 

A lot of people prefered discord, FB or Instagram rather than some forum sites which is really sad.

 

Many of the Silent Hill/Resident Evil/Survival Horror sites on FB regularly become overexcited at the prospect of Abandoned being Silent Hills/the new SH game.
There’s also a story that the developers have done this before - create a new team & name, build up hype for a fake game, announce a release of a preview &/or app which doesn’t appear then close down.
Either way it’s not good.

 

Funnily enough, all of this company's other games were previously... "abandoned".

Anyway, Dusk Golem (that well known leaker) said that his sources about Silent Hill coming back, are all true. But damn. All of this crap never amounts to anything other than more hearsay. For over a year now, people have been thinking that something is gonna show up at X event, only then X event comes and goes, and no one is happy.

What a tease!

 

I’ve been disillusioned over Silent Hill returning since the Silent Hills/P.T. When Konami abandoned SH I began disbelieving any stories of its return.
